Parker enjoyed his first snowy Easter celebration. He talked and laughed through our church service as usual (until we removed him, of course). Easter is a time of joy and celebration, and we're glad he caught on at such an early age. On a reflective note, it was our first family gathering since my grandma's funeral, and it was strange to not have her there. I was sad to watch Grandpa walk to his car by himself at the end of the day. I can't imagine spending 60 years with someone and then suddenly not have them by your side anymore. But I'm sure Grandpa is glad to know that she is not suffering anymore. I know that was hard on him.
I do wish that "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth" from Handel's Messiah was sung at every Easter service, with full orchestra, of course. It gives me goosebumps even when I just sing it to myself. Great text set to great music....
My sister got Peter Parker a "Spidey" basket of goodies for Easter.
My parents gave him a little Easter bag of spring clothes, but Parker thought the gift was the tissue paper, as usual.

Parker's First Easter

Let Me Out!!
We usually find Parker like this after he wakes up. Sometimes he calls out for us, and sometimes he just silently scans the house for us. I laugh everytime I see him hoisting himself up to the top of his jail cell.
